Organization

Tuesday Musicale presents a public recital featuring members on the first Tuesday of each month from October through June at 12:30 pm previously in the Donald R. Wright Auditorium of the Pasadena Central Library which is now closed for seismic retrofitting, and concerts are held temporarily at The Altadena Baptist church .  The performers represent each section of the organization: Piano Solo, Piano Ensemble/Instrumental Solo, Chamber Music, Voice and the Sunday Section. The sections meet each month and provide an opportunity for musicians to gather, receive coaching and perform for one another.

Tuesday Musicale also organizes and sponsors a Tuesday Musicale Juniors program whose purpose is to encourage young people in their study of music and to give them opportunities to take part in organized musical activities and appear on musical programs along with their fellow members. A scholarship fund is maintained by Tuesday Musicale to further encourage and aid talented young musicians.

Tuesday Musicale is the sponsor of Crown City Symphony, a fifty-five member community orchestra founded in 2002 and conducted by Dr. Paul Sherman that performs free concerts that are open to the public.

Tuesday Musicale is a co-sponsor with the Pasadena Public Library of the Second Sunday Concert Series. Now it co-sponsored with The Altadena Baptist Church on the Second Saturday of the month. This series was founded in 1983 by Lillas Gilbert Jones and Barbara Ebert for the purpose of bringing quality live classical music to the public.
